Anime: Basilisk ~ Koga Ninpo Cho ~

Well, I'd like to start with a recommendation. And Basilisk - the new 24 episode ninja-series - is really worthy of recommendation. In the tradition of the great Ninja Scroll this anime revolves around the epic struggle between two rival ninja clans. There has been a fragile peace for several centuries, but when the series starts this peace is shattered. Having seen the 5 available episodes, I can say they are really entertaining and fun to watch. Basilisk features a romeo-juliet romance, battles between ninjas with unbelievable skills in the realm of superpowers and intrige between the two houses. The fights central in each episode are not just a few punches and kicks, but spectacular showdowns of the special abilities every ninja posseses, which makes it highly entertaining to watch.
